Masroor Temple Kangra
The Masroor Rock Cut Temple or Himalayan Pyramid is a complex of temples located in Masroor (or Masrur) in Kangra Valley, which is 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Kangra city in Kangra district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is now known as ‘Thakurwada’, meaning “Vaishnavite temples”. It is a complex of monolithic rock cut temples, in shikhara (raising tower) style of classical Indian architectural style.

MAA Kangra Devi / Brajeshwari Devi
Maa Brajeshwari Devi, also called Vajreshvari Temple is located in the town of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India. As per Hindu Mythology, when Sati’s body was cut into different pieces, the remaining parts were in this place. Some also believe that it was Sati’s breast that fell here. A number of pilgrims come here from various parts to worship the Goddess in the temple. Some devotees cut off their tongues as a sign of devotion to Goddess. The tongues grow quickly, and sometimes on the spot heeling.

The distraught Shiva picked corpse and gyrated his horrified dance. Then Lord Vishnu moves his Chakra and cuts the Sati’s body into fifty one pieces to save the earth from Shiva’s wrath. All the fifty one places – where parts of Sati’s body fell, became known as Shakti Peeths.
